Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data the Astronath website and app collect, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

Account and profile

• Mobile number, verified through Truecaller or a one-time code sent on WhatsApp
• Name, gender and preferred language, if you provide them

Birth details

• Date, time and place of birth (with the place's coordinates and time zone), used to calculate your kundli, horoscope, matchmaking and other results
• Birth details you enter for other people, for example in matchmaking. Please enter them only with that person's consent

Tara AI chats

• The questions you ask Tara and Tara's answers, saved so you can see your conversations

Wallet, orders and payments

• Coin balance and transaction history
• Payment records: Razorpay order and payment IDs, amount, status, payment method type, and refund status
• Astronath never receives your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN; these are handled by Razorpay

Technical data

• IP address and request times, used to limit abuse (for example repeated sign-in attempts)
• Browser storage for your session, language and theme
• In the mobile app, rewarded ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers under Google's policies

2. Why we use it

• To create and secure your account and verify your phone number
• To generate astrology results and answer your questions to Tara
• To process payments, credit coins, prevent duplicate bonuses and handle refunds
• To provide support, prevent fraud and keep the Service working
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

3. Who we share it with

We share only what each provider needs to do its job:

We don't sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law.

4. Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. Payment and transaction records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. To delete your account and personal data, contact us using the details below; deletion is handled by our team on request (there is no self-service delete button yet).

5. Security

• Connections to Astronath use HTTPS.
• Database rules let signed-in users read only their own records; coin balances and payments can be changed only by our servers.
• Payments are verified with Razorpay on our server before coins are credited.
• Sign-in codes are stored only in hashed form and expire after 10 minutes.

No system is completely secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

6. Your rights

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct or update your profile and birth details (most can be edited in your profile)
• Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal record-keeping
• Withdraw consent, which may stop features that need the data
• Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer, and then with the Data Protection Board of India

7. Children

Astronath is not intended for children. Please don't create an account if you are under 18.
